lol. what's 2024

Romania.

hb 2025

Croatia.

what year is Poland

1939

wwII reference?

Invasion of Poland, yes.

Which is kind of awful, now that I think about it, because my friend whose last name is literally "Pohl" was talking to me today about our chances surviving the Holocaust.

welp

I have a profound lack of an accent, actually. I can imitate other accents very well (fooled my British friend with a British accent once) but by myself I have a very generic and very boring voice.

Actually me too. I think it’s because I’m Asian American, this part of Louisiana doesn’t really talk southern, and I’m not originally from Louisiana. My friends here say they hear a hint of a Brooklyn accent. I was born in Brooklyn, but I think I sound more like a northerner.

Why did I think of Helmut Kohl?

ahahaha we all know I have a british accent, but mine isn't any regional specific accent, it's closest to a london accent but not completely, more southern england

I couldn’t imagine KyoMiyake with an Australian accent.

tbh I can't imagine any of your accents

So you envision all of us as British-accented people?

Ugf, British imperialism.

kinda, I just read out your posts in my accent in my head, I don't like switch accents when I see who posts lol

Well, same. I guess I was being hypocritical because I don’t envision you with a British accent, I just read all words in my own voice.

same

sometimes when scrolling through two cans and string threads i get motion sickness :-(

Louisiana uses the 7 Point Grading Scale. By percentage:
A: 100-93
B: 92 – 85
C: 84 – 75
D: 74 – 67
F: 66 – 0

D's and F's fail. Anything under a 75% is a failing grade. Passing with a grade in the 70s in seriously really cutting it close.
To manage an A in every class, I give myself a cushion. I'm not going to cut it close and barely squeeze in an A. Even if an A is a 93%, I'm not trying to get a B in any class. I keep myself above 96% for safety.

Oh btw, here's the words for each grade
A: Advanced
B: Mastery
C: Basic
D: Approaching Basic
F: Unsatisfactory

These are the words for a typical Chinese American family like mine
A: Average
B: Below Average
C: Can't eat dinner
D: Don't come home
F: Find a new family

I made one myself :>
A: Acceptable
B: Bad
C: Crying
D: Disowned
F: Funeral

Consequences for a grade in a class as shown on a report card
A: Nothing
B: Lecture
C: Pick your whip: belt, sticks, pole
D: Disowned and kicked out
F: You're going to be sent to the military academy tomorrow.

Actually, my parents are more understanding, more so now that we are in high school and older. It's also because I haven't had a B in a class since 6th grade. My brother gets B's more often, always in English classes.

Is that for report card grades, or each assignment/assessment individually?

Does your district have an app where your parents can see your grade on an assignment the second it gets put in the grade book? I absolutely fucking hate Infinite Campus

Report card grades. We use PowerSchool; where our entire academic history, ACT scores, and class registration/schedule is.

Powerschool is so bad

Counting down the days until my AP exams...

May 1: AP Gov exam - already finishedthat class in december so now i have to recall all that i've learned after half a school year. I think i remember most of it.

May 4: AP Seminar exam - i'll do fine, i think
