JAXXIE

I overslept this morning so I didn't have time to eat breakfast, but it honestly wasn't that bad.

I got 100% + 1 extra credit point on my precalc test today. I love when teachers grade stuff the day you turn it in. Also, precalc is a complete joke. We haven't learned a single thing that we haven't learned last year in AAT.

I almost got in a car accident as I was leaving school today. The road in front of my school has 2 lanes each way, and a large delivery truck was parked in the right lane. I was in the left lane passing it, and a pickup truck right behind the delivery truck tried to change right into my lane as I was passing. I had to swerve into the lane of the opposing direction to avoid being hit. Luckily no one was coming the other way. Idfk what I would have done if there would have been

Ope, at least youre safe

you can drive?!?!

Imagine driving

im too scared to drive but not because im scared of crashing, but because im scared i'll break a traffic law or something by accident

you can drive?!?!

yeah, im 16

wowzers, didn't know that. in the uk it's 17

Awesome, I could drive in the UK.

wowzers, didn't know that. in the uk it's 17

I got my learners permit (able to drive with a parent in the car) when I was 14

at 14 and a half you can get your school license where you can drive to an from school on your own, but I didn't get mine until I was 15

at 16 you get your intermediate license where you can drive anywhere between 5 am and 12 am

once I am 17 I can get my full licence

Thats how it works in Iowa, I'm sure diff states are different

in maine you have to be 15 to get your permit and then once you have a certain amount of hours using that permit and you're 16 you can take the test to get your license
to get your permit you have to take your written test and then get like 10 hours of drivers ed which in total cost me like 500$ (plus it was during covid so we also had to do online AAA stuff which cost like 20$)

The same is for Louisiana except 16 is for intermediary license and 17 is for full license. The permit is after 30 hours of driving class and passing the written test and the intermediary license is after 8 hours of driving lessons. Once I turn 17, I can take the road skills test and pass to get a full license. All of that costs over $600.

I passed the writing test and will start driving lessons during Easter Break.

yeah honestly thinking about it i probably spent 800$ in total including getting my license and things

wow that's kind of young

and it's cool how it varies from state to state lol. in england I'm pretty sure it's just 17 when you can apply for your license and then do the tests, but study for them at 16 or something

14 year olds should not be driving
it is funny because in maine if you have like a farm license plate you can drive your truck around town and it doesn't need inspected and 12 year olds can drive it

I cant & wont be able to drive b cho can drive

i agree, but on the hand it is super convenient not to have to take the bus to and from school

Well, today was interesting. Every other day, I don't have a 1st-hour class, so I can show up at 9:00 instead of 8:10. That is, on normal days. On early-out days, classes are shortened significantly, so 2nd hour starts at 8:40.

Today they announced that today would be an early out due to tornado threats later today. They didn't make the announcement until the last minute, and I never received the notice. I showed up at9:50 and my friend was texting me "Hurry up, its an early out, get to class" and I was like, what today isn't an early out. I was so sure he was April fooling me, but it turns out he wasn't, and I was late to class. Luckily I don't think I will get in trouble because there were many people late to class.

Then, I also had a Spanish verb test in 3rd hour that I had completely forgotten about and hadn't studied for. I managed to get thru the quizlet 2 times in the card sorting mode and I don't think I missed a single one on the test.

nice
