It's been on my list for like a year and a half, it's just jjba pushed me to watch it

Jjba is based

2023 Caroline Polachek - Desire, I Want To Turn Into You 7.2

Enjoyed the start and the last track, but the latter half felt kinda autonomous (up until the last track, Billions, which I enjoyed quite a bit)

2004 Kanye West - The College Dropout 8.6

(relisten)

I have some albums that I remove points because they feel like they've aged. I have albums where I'll listen to them and go "Man, that was clearly released in 2013". The College Dropout has not aged a day, and it's nearing 20 years old. It has multiple songs that feel like they don't fit the album, like Kanye lost his focus on the albums musical theme (Get Em High, The New Workout Plan, Two Words. Never Let Me Down barely makes the cut), and these parts are the reason it's below a 9. There are very very very few rappers that can end an album on a 13 minute long track without beat changes and with very little wordplay without the song getting old, but its an amazing track where Kanye is telling his story of getting signed to Roc-A-Fella Records.

2005 Kanye West - Late Registration 8.7

(relisten)

again, it hasn't aged. it is a lot more consistent and focussed compared to The College Dropout, but I rather the instrumentals on TCD. That being said, TCD is the best College Trilogy album

2007 Kanye West - Graduation 7.4

(relisten)

this is one of the most overrated albums ever. it has aged (that being said, it sounds early-mid 2010s, not late 2000s). The album lacks the amazing production TCD has, and it lacks the consistantcy of LR. It has 2 downright terrible songs (I love Lil Wayne, but he's on one of those 2 songs). It doesn't have an amazing ending, and all in all, it's not that great of an album.

2016 Kendrick Lamar - Untitled Unmastered 8.1

(relisten)

Of course, it's filled with Kendrick's amazing rapping over dirty gritty beats. I love every part of this record, even the 4 minutes of Kendrick showing his creative process whilst writing Untitled 04 in part 3 of Untitled 07.

2020 Joji - Nectar 8.1

(relisten)

I have so much nostalgia for this album (I know it came out 3 years ago but I still get nostalgic). The only issue with this album is that the album closer "Your Man" isn't good at ending the album. Like You Do would've been much better IMO

2021 Arcane, League of Legends - Arcane League of Legends (Soundtrack from the Animated Series) 7.0

(relisten)

really fucking good...for a soundtrack. I enjoy most of the tracks, but a couple feel a bit...outdated? I know it only came out 2 years ago, but a few of the production techniques are already falling out a bit. The structure is pretty much non existent, but the outro track "What Could Have Been" was great as an outro.

I know that it's not meant to be an album, it's meant to be a soundtrack, but I can't rate it differently because of that. BUT THE SHOW IS AMAZING PROBABLY THE BEST ANIMATED SHOW IVE EVER WATCHED

2020 Rich Brian - 1999 7.4

I LOVED THIS EP LYRICALLY...but instrumentally, a lot of it felt generic. I didn't mind the instrumental on Long Run, and I enjoyed the instrumental on Sins. I've always loved the song Love In My Pocket, it's such a fun funky single, but it did not fit the EP's reoccurring lyrical themes at all (and it's not that special lyrically compared to the other tracks)

2015 Glass Animals - How To Be A Human Being 8.4

I love love love love LOVED the production. The vocals were really good too. The only issue is the structure, which was good at the start, but as the album went on, it got worse and worse, not having a worthy closer

2016 Rihanna - ANTI 8.5

wasn't into Work, but it was the single, what can you expect.

oh is that the song that goes "work work work work work"
i have minimal desire to listen to that song

yes. It's so repetitive that it's annoying

that being said, I don't like Drake, but his feat was really good on that track

i was wondering if you would listen to rihanna

i love joji & glass animals

I don't really listen to enough of them to say I'm a fan, but I've enjoyed most Glass Animals stuff I've listened to.

2000 Panchiko - D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L 8.5

I need to relisten to the Radiohead albums. I didn't like them first listens

2022 Tony Molina - In The Fade 8.0

can't believe they made an 8 with 18 minutes and 14 songs
