Ggs

Sorry, fam. Drunk on main but I love you all and I resent having to be the bad guy.

omg so many people died, that was a quick ending

I’m sad we didn’t get to summon nyog sothep

Damn! We were so close to summoning. Daaamn :<

Two more nights and I think we woulda got it. Ggs though! It was fun being a Cultist. I had a whole backstory for my Hired Goon, too.

There was a bit more planned in terms of the quests for both sides, but it was an unfortunate scenario that nonresponse rates during night phases caused balancing issues. Initially, the "curse" would have all been hexes, which allowed for basically a TPK of the Investigators on Night 3. I really didn't like that this possibility existed, so it changed to a slow burn off of those players. Still happened Night 4, but at least that was a more prompted death rather than an off the cuff game end.

I hope this experience was enjoyable; there was more to do during the day phases, but the lack of death was more unexpected from my end. I suppose that's what happens with a Doombringer.

I even changed my profile picture with the expectation for the game to go one day longer. Ah well.

In any case, Licky's Imperial Machinations mafia game is the next slated game to be run, so head on over there when you're ready for more Mafia!

oh my god

Good game y'all. Tinny - were you actually fucking with us when you messed up the numbers or was that a genuine mistake?

you think i could maybe join this next game?

Fun fact: I picked 5 in the church because I was expecting jaded to pick 5 even though they said they would pick 2. That was a mistake and I was not lying about getting the protective equipment.

I think some of the roles need a bit of work to be balanced: The lawyers wind condition is so niche and hard to get That I gave up and joined the investigators, a possible way to balance this would to be letting the lawyer know the clients role and alignment or giving them some way to gather information, at the moment the lawyer just needs to make a false claim with essentially no information. The mortician also seems a little underpowered with the fact that almost every one of the cultist roles doesn't directly kill And everyone is too focused on the investigation to do any arresting. the moon child just seems like a weird role to have because it relies entirely on having a way to communicate after death which only belongs to one role and could be the traitor, the moon child actually seems like a more useful role in the hands of a traitor because then it just allows you to take out an innocent with you if you die.

Holy smokes that was fast

I had fun

Oh it was very intentional and carefully thought out, because I knew you'd notice egregious mistakes. And the other scum were seeing if they could fake their runes and make fake scans for yall (we weren't allowed to talk to each other during that phase). It was such a blast.

Also, yes. We accidentally ended up with 2 scum in the church so we planned to fully sabotage there and you all voted 2 scum into the seance as well so that was lucky.

I can be suspicious of Tinny and Jaded all day, but I can't seem to distrust Sya.

Start being paranoid about Sya, then.

All of these are intended behaviors; the one I thought was underpowered was Private Eye, to be honest. Making it every other day really limited information gathering. As for your other points:
1. The Mortician was an unfortunate byproduct of the Doombringer this game. If I were to use the Hypnotist or Detonator in the future, the Mortician will get information almost every night (as there would be an active killer on the Cultist team). This was my bad, as I set the role list, so I'll have to keep in mind these interactions in the future. For the Mortician being underpowered; aside from the Traitor role, each role is set in its alignment. If people were dying each day, the Mortician is a really good source of gathering roles and alignments from the dead.

2. Moonchild is called a negative utility role. It's meant to have a possible use, but more often than not it's bad. This is similar to the tinker and (to a lesser extent) Hippie. In a game with a medium, you could use the moonchild to try and guess an evil role, and if they don't die at night, you can tell the medium what you did.

3. The Lawyer was an interesting role to build, and I realize it can be gameable pretty easily with this group. As people don't seem to hard push votes early on, you could just tell the town to have more votes on your client early, as no arrest would have happened that day anyways. I was thinking about reworking it to be more punishing to the Investigator team, but I think that would just deter people from voting at all in the day. Instead, I might just change it to "Once per game, you may protect your client from being arrested. You win with your client's win condition."

I like that.

The lawyer update? I'll change it in the main post then, with the private eye update.

I like the lawyer update too, wish I could have had it

Love you too <3

No, suck it.

sya, are you and antagonist together, or are you just friends?
just asking

That's an inappropriate, question, Samus. People sometimes playfully say things like that when they are friends. Either way, it would not be your business.

sorry. i wasn't trying to sound weird about it. it was a genuine question, bc i see that they have done that before
