The existence of “Congratulations! You did your job the way you’re supposed to!” awards and complacency with laziness in high-stakes jobs.

I hate when I'm reading a great novel and next thing I know it's constantly sex scenes left and right ...Why? I don't care about people throbbing members. It's so cringy.

Pulsating private parts

Yep. I'm just skipping them at this point lol

I hope I haven't missed anything between their thrusty grunts lol

Yeah, sex stuff in novels that aren't explicitly erotic is definitely something that ruins the experience for me. Especially if it comes out of left field.

Much prefer the "fade to black and implicitly do the dirty" mindset

Ditto for movies. I don't know why it has to go on for so long - it isn't a raunchy R-rated movie that you rent at Blockbuster to pause at the perfect millisecond to see a nip slip. Oddly specific, but that is the only reason I've ever seen there be a point to sex scenes.

Almost every action movie has that bit where I just have to skip ahead because I'm not interested in watching the actors pretend to screw.

I don't know if I'd theoretically like sex stuff in novels or not, but my past experience was that I really hated it.

Like I try not to be the whole virtue signalling guy or whatever, but from a purely enjoyable or artistic sense I always felt deeply disturbed when I read parts in books of a male author writing a sex scene from a female point of view I was always like "this is weird, doesn't feel true, makes me feel yuck, just gonna skip this fucking part."

(Looking at you, George R. R. Martin)

I mean they're pretending to do everything else.

IDK Im definitely more likely to read/watch something if I know there's a pulsating veiny cock going on screen at some point

But I guess that's more about nudity than sex

Me too

I enjoy good sex scenes in books that aren't just cringe. Gimme characters with real chemistry and an author who knows how to make it spicy and not just cringe and I'm a happy camper.

I don't care for sex scenes in film much, though, since they are almost always bad.

If you have any suggestions I'm willing to give it a chance

I hate kid parties at skating rinks

Aren't there skating rinks specifically catered to more mature/adulty people for that reason?

Edit: I hate that I was placed in a post World War 2 history class because they didn't have anything else to fill the slot. I have no interest in it and it doesn't even give me a useful credit. Just give me the period off.
