Ouch. I'm trying to figure out if I have an essay due this morning that I haven't worked on at all.

Oh dang, what happened Jash?

Just... shit. Haha last semester I had a huge problem with mental health issues and flunked damn near everything, and then this semester I spent half of it too sick to go to class. That put me far behind, stressed me out, exacerbated the mental health issues, and I'm failing again.

Most of it is my fault, but yeah it sucks ass and I'm just gonna have to wait and see what happens. Maybe I need to take some time off anyways.

Hey dude it happens. Failing seven or so classes isn’t the end of the world. Good luck, man. Just keep going if you can. I was just there in a similar spot. Failed a shit load of classes and couldn’t get to class half the time for medical reasons.

How far into it are you? How many hours left?

Oh, I'm way too far into it to give up. I've been in school since '12 working for this and have done my three co-op rotations, so I have experience and know that this is what I want to do. It's just a matter of getting my shit together and maybe having good luck once in a while. To answer your other question, depending on how this semester finishes, I have between 32 and 41 hours of required classes for my degree.

I relate to that way too much. I found out at 8 pm last night (halfway through a 5 hour round trip drive) that I had a Thermo II test at 8 am I didn't know about because I missed all of that class last week due to an asshole roommate. So yeah, I haven't slept yet, but here's to hoping I did well.

Ah I see, yeah you’re super close. You know what to do, summer classes and scheduling manageable work loads. Your school’ll let you retake things, right? And see if you can pull something like - I changed my major to what’s essentially the same major but made it so the F I got in phys-chem didn’t matter anymore. So like 32 hours, take at least 3 or 4 over a summer semester if you can, that puts you at 2 semesters of like 14 hours.

You’ll get your good luck, man.

Missed my MTG prerelease on Thursday night because it was 4/20 and there was a checkpoint on the main road.

Was so fucking hard to not be passive aggressive after sitting in line for 40 minutes and telling the cop where I WAS going. Yeah I get it, my safety and shit but I can still be mad.

Checkpoints on 4/20 are fucking stupid anyways. It's not illegal to be high, and as far as I know, there's no sobriety test for it. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, though. The only reason there were roadblocks out were to try to catch people with weed on them.

Technically ALL checkpoints are illegal, because you have to break a law for them to have probable cause to stop you.
Abyway, according to This there is a working breathalyzer for edibles.

Even in America, they are not illegal.

It is also illegal to drive while high. Even if it's not explicitly a DUI (it is in many places) it's almost always reckless endangerment.

Well, I have my last finals of my high-school career in four days, & I feel super scared & excited about what comes after. I’m praying people at college/university are better than the people here.

Fair enough. I have been corrected.

Still hate em, though.

I've got a math test this morning and I'm not prepared, but one way or another at least it'll be over by 9:30.

Yes, you are correct about legality, but the stops themselves were ruled unconstitutuonal.

Police stops/DUI checkpoints in the United States are not necessarily illegal, but are subject to regulation. DUI stops must be announced in advance (typically a small sentence in a local newspaper that no one ever sees...) and cannot fully block off an area. There must be a separate path to avoid the checkpoint.

Lol what? It’s not illegal to be intentionally intoxicated on a schedule 1? I think it stops mattering what the drug is after you introduce public intoxication laws. I’d wager that it doesn’t matter that there’s no sobriety test: if the cop thinks you’re stoned... plus you’re not really in a position to defend your innocence until after you’ve been dealt with by a cop. “I’m not high. I’m not high. I’m not high. A million times I’m not high.”
That’s when I’d start wondering WHAT you were high on.

Back to that first thing I said: to have become intentionally intoxicated on the schedule one means that at some point you were in possession of the schedule 1. Even if it was just a bong being passed to you. So even if the state of being high on weed isn’t illegal, the state of being high on weed on purpose means that at some point, you committed a crime.

Though I still say it’s illegal to be stoned on weed, lol that’s an interesting question: is just being high illegal? I’ll try and find out. My guess is that the answer is “of course”

Can't be arrested for possession if you take all the drugs

Not for possession, no, but using is still illegal on its own.

Ooh, look at me being put in my place. You're right, my bad.

Well suppose you take all your drugs before the officer gets to your car and the officer saw clearly that you had drugs. Officer still has cause to arrest you. There would probably be an evidence problem in court but you’re still up against a police officer’s testimony.

I’m sorry jash, that post was longer than I meant. I don’t want you to have a “put in your place” vibe.

Edit: oh fuck I didn't even see the posts following that one you made. Disregard what i said, I suck cocks.

I suck cocks.

But do you actually?
Manwhere's Sophywhen you need him,I'm here doin' his pervy job for him...

Nah, it's all good. I was wrong, and you showed me that. No hard feelings whatsoever.

In other news, I just withdrew from the university, so that's fun.

In order to move to New Zealand and study physics with me?

Dude, I'd be down for that

why is it so damn hot
