ForumRelationships and Stuff ► What to do for first date?
I am a male dating a female. I am in year 7. My parents don't know about the relationship. We've known each other for 2 ½ years. We've been together for around a month. What should we do?

One fun cheap-ish date idea that me and my girlfriend used to do in highschool was to go to the local dollar store (if you're in the UK an equivalent might be pound shops?) and get fun little things for each other. We'd each split up, spend about 5 or 10 bucks getting goofy gifts or treats for each other, and then give them to each other on the sidewalk outside. :)

My go-to for budget dates is to find a nearby river, lake, or sea. Meet somewhere public, maybe outside your school, and take a walk to a secluded spot by the water. Find a nice spot to sit on the grass with no one around and enjoy the surroundings.

I second this :)

Go to a coffee shop, buy one (1) drink, then spend the next few hours wandering aimlessly.

ummm...my gfs parents now know. My parents will probs find out soon. Thanks for all your help!

Watch a really bad movie (Ex: the new sharkboy and lavagirl movie with their kids called "we can be heroes" or something. (totally ruined the david bowie song for me)). It's really fun and if you make enough jokes during it, everything is 10 times more funny.

I recommend awkward silences and stutter stopped sentences between it, but don't break the tension by giggling, just maintain eye contact and assert dominance by basking in the uncomfortable vibes like they're warm rays of vibe sunshine.

Possible sentence starters to abruptly stop mid sentence are,

"I know I shouldn't ask this, but-"

"You know I really, um-"

and then just stop and don't finish the sentence. Just let it hangout and permeate.

My favorite places for first dates are the dumpster behind the CVS and the restroom at the Burger King the next town over

I love how this thread gets revived after we've broken up.

I keep seeing We Can Be Heroes on Netflix saying that it's one of the most popular things in Australia. Did Bowie's Heroes play during the movie? If so, I'm surprised whomever owns the rights allowed them to play it. What's your favourite Bowie song?

Just remember to have a jimmy hat cause dates always lead to sex. (Thanks to alcohol and emotions).
