Shouldn't this be in the "Music/Movies/TV/Books" area?
it could be, but it's also a hobbie. frankly it could probaly be both
I just started watching Gurren Lagann.
its awsome as all hell
I've never heard someone say something's awesome as all.
Nor have I, Qwaz. I could never get into Gurren Lagann. Not really my kind of anime, I suppose.

I'd say that Basilisk and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood are two of my favorite anime series'.
I really liked Gurren Lagann.
I have seen a lot of good ones, my top 3 are probably Gurren Lagann, Cowboy Bebop, and Monster. Never heard of Higurashi no naku koro ni, I will have to see if Netflix has this.
They do but they call it "when they cry" which is the rough english translation of the the title, but they don't have the second series, which you haveto watch if you want to now what is going on.
I haven't watched any anime in a really long time. D:
I'm out of the loop on anything that's new. :P
It's been a while for me too. I still love it. Blood+, Bleach, FMA, Inuyasha, love 'em
Tengen Toppan was pretty good, but you have to get about six or seven episodes in before you realize it. There's a pretty dramatic plot shift that I'm thinking of that really sets up the rest of the series. FMA Brotherhood was really well done, I thought. The first adaptation got kind of crazy after they had to diverge from the manga, but I thought it made a lot of sense this time around. Monster was soooo good! But so long. Normally I don't have the patience for anything past 26 episodes, but Monster was really worth it. Cowboy Bebop was, of course, friggin awesome.

I really loved Princess Tutu. This picture pretty much describes it: It starts off like a really shallow and boring magical girl show, and then somehow transforms into something romantic, dramatic and really pretty epic.

My favorite *new* series is Hourou Musuko - Wandering Son. I really love the manga, and I really like what they're doing with the adaptation. It follows two young maybe-trans kids, one biologically female and one male, growing up and sorting out their feelings. It's a little slow-paced, but it just feels so authentic.
Wonder how many people here have seen Mushi-shi. The show may not have had a plot, but was still very good.
Dude...Mushi-shi was definitely an amazing anime. The manga was much better.
I Haven't seen mushi-shi yet, It's on my anime to watch at some point list, but that last is really big. I good new anime in my opinion is mahou shoujo madoka magica. All i can really ay, it is anything but the typical magical girl show, and the ending is pure win. It got a dark plot and some weird animation at points, got to hand it to Studio shaft thay do know how to think outside the box on anime.
My favorite series is Hellsing. It. Is. Awesome. I could talk about that all day. But FMA Brotherhood is great too, along with Dears, Death Note, Sora No Woto, and a billion other animes.
Favorite Anime would have to be either Cowboy Bebop... Or Cowboy Bebop. Yeah. I love the Bebop.

And when it comes to Manga, Death Note. I love the manga... Anime is too drawn out, though.
I actually prefer the anime of Deaht Note to the manga. The manga's plot seemed a bit thrown together, they fixed a lot of the plot errors when they made the anime.
I actually really liked the foot drying scene in the anime once I put the whole christ reference thing together.
hnnnnn.... I'm more of a shoujo girl ^///^ like shugo chara (the manga's better) and of course Sailor Moon (it's a classic shoujo series), but i do like Bleach (Hitsugaya ♥), Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Pandora Hearts, and so on and so forth... ^.^
Just got done watching Last Exile over the weekend, turned out better than I had expected, especially a certain scene in the last episode.
Current favorite is Kuroshitsuji. Started watching Durarara!! though so maybe that I will like that better soon.
im watching durarara right know, it has a slow start then its like, wait what shit hits the fan.
Kuroshitsuji is my all-time favorite. I like Cowboy Bebop too.
