While playing through the game, I noticed that the password system was consistent on a system of(using x as a variable):
xx#x

It seems that there are ways to obtain the effects of what you want in a certain objective, EX: CA9A gives me the volcano mission with one already done, while CA7A gives me water with one balloon done.

Anyone want to help crack this acorn wide open?

is it cheating to read the source code?

IDK, I'm doing the slower method of brute force.

I'm in!

Brute force is always going to be the more fun option. Perhaps the letters represent hexadecimal values? Try letters past F.

CA3A gives you the volcano mission with two done

What about CA6A?

interesting, it gives the same stuff as CA3A

So far all I've gotten are new games, so maybe.

Edit: No, one of the passwords I have use a J

same here, RA3A gave me a new game

We should make note of these. Go through different passwords and match them to what they do.

CB3B gave the same result as CA3A( and CA6A), so I think its possible the A's are placeholders, I will test this further.

CL3L is the same as CA3A, so I think it's safe to assume that A is a place holder
edit: DA1A gave me a new game, BA3A is the same as CA3A.

I have a Google Doc doing exactly that.

where is the J?

I mis-remembered the password, but there are letters beyond F

Hey, I'm going to attach the google doc to the first post, if you want to add your own findings, message me with your email so I can give you permission to edit.

y'all need to stop playing space squirrel my early years pixel art is too embarrassing to still be perceived this way

NES-style pixel art is cool though.

So is this just people going through enough passwords until we get a password with the best game?

I just won Space Squirrel for the first time 10 minutes ago; I can't believe it!

No, just figuring out what password does what

CD7O brings you straight to the last part of the game with the volcanoes and water reservoirs already done.
