When can we start writing stories

Also any circumstances in which we’d be allowed to have more than one picture if appropriate or necessary or is that a strict limitation? Either’s fine. Also you said more encyclopedic than news is acceptable. Would that mean, for example, that I’d be free to write an article explaining all I can about say… a medical procedure? Including things like history and whatnot. Again, either way is fine, but it would be helpful for me to be able to keep it less news however I accept that regardless this is pretty much your personal project. Also it’s a very cool one too. I love this idea.

...Right now? I never said you had to wait.

Generally the one common rule between all different kinds of articles is this: You need to look at it, and imagine that it could be in an actual news publication. And news publications can extend beyond information on recent events. Like I said, retrospectives and argumentative pieces are completely okay, and what you're wanting to write is completely fine; mainly because I'm intending on completely rewriting the article guidelines for this because this would probably do a lot better if it wasn't limited to news. All I ask is that, if possible, you find a way to link it to TC&S somehow. Somehow. You don't have to do it, but it'd be great (don't force it if you can't). Also, a way to link it to a recent event would make it even better (no, really, please do this); an article from a publication that was discussing Toki Pona discussed it in the context of a recent study event that the author was participating in where they learned the language within in a week or two, and offered information in the context of that event. This is all optional, though. Almost anything goes on this website so I feel like the same should be said for this newsfeed.

theki your avatar is so swag

Thank you! I took inspiration from a backpack filer.

i dont know what that means but yay

It's like a filing cabinet but for backpacks.

Is it metal, and has drawers, like a real one? Just backpack-sized?

No, I lied. It's like a mini binder.

Naw, man, just start writing. It needs articles ASAP.

I have an article written to test the image feature, please use that

No. Test articles are not allowed for publication.

Okay, I'll just make a new one

Imma write something tomorrow and show it to you. Please tell me if I’m doing it right and please forgive me if I totally fuck up. Are plants cool by the way?

Also about bias: I know that nonbiased, by definition, means free from opinion. May I inject a “professional opinion” for the sake of humor?

Again, the rules for the most part are relatively outdated. I think you should just go with your gut here. You're free to do whatever, put something out there and I'll suggest improvements if needed.

Awesome

Idea, have some way to privately submit stories via dm or something. It feels weird to post it on the public thread.

Why? Stories on the widget are shortened so that, upon clicking the link to read more, it takes you to the full story.

Oh

Uhh, articles? Please?
